Peachtree Settlement Funding Profiled by NBC Affiliate for "Bring your Child to Work" Policy in Aftermath of Recent Child Abductions

BOCA RATON, Fl., Sept 9, 2006. -- Peachtree Settlement Funding was profiled Monday, April 18, 2005 by the West Palm Beach NBC affiliate for its proactive approach to allowing children in the workplace. In the wake of a series of child abductions in Florida, Peachtree management felt it would give employees peace of mind knowing their children would be welcomed in the office under certain conditions. In many cases where schools have half days or teacher conference days children need a supervised place to go.

Employees were encouraged by the news when their supervisor, Deborah Benaim, Vice President & Director of Peachtree's Structured Settlements division, announced the plan in Boca Raton, Florida, Monday.

"We don't want our employees to have to worry about their school-aged children staying home alone." Mrs. Benaim told employees, "If any of you need to make a choice between leaving your kids alone, or with a neighbor or taking them to work...Please bring them to work!"

Mrs. Benaim, herself a parent, told her staff, "There are many times throughout the year that school is out and we are working. If you wish to stay home with your child or children, bring in your school's calendar and Peachtree will not dock your pay. It's more important to be with your children than the frightening reality we all live with." The details of the "bring your children to work" policy are being finalized.
